The owner was very friendly and the music was super awesome. The food came out super quickly and let me tell you: the garlic fries were thin cut and very aromatic. The pizza was flavorful; not too much bread and the layer of ash on the crust gave it the perfect crunch. The sauce was not your traditional red sauce: it had a slightly smoky barbecue flavor that complemented the crust. I'd happily come here again with a bigger group.

I got the small summer BBQ chicken pizza and it was loaded with toppings! I love the grilled bbq chicken because it was tender and full of flavor. They currently offer takeout and delivery during COVID-19. I love that I can also order their draft beer to go! I will definitely be back when I’m in Berkeley.

Here at the Red Tomato Pizza House, we only use our top quality three blend mozzarella cheese for our pizzas and hot sandwiches, as well as other ingredients and toppings that are made in house on a daily basis. Along with our toppings, we use Berkeley's own Acme bread for all our sandwiches that are made to order. Red Tomato also offers vegan and gluten substitutes for all pizzas.
